Pregnant pug - threatened misscarridge

My pug is just four weeks pregnant.  She has just had a discharge.  I took her to the vet who scanned her and said she has a large litter but may or may not misscarry.  Is there anything I can do to help or prevent this?

You can try complete and absolute bed rest.  What that means is keep her in a crate.

My question would be why is she miscarrying? Is she toxic, did she have a low grade infection before she was bred?

If you have a large litter I would consider doing a c-section at day 58 and hope for the best.
