Wolf Hybrid Heat

QUESTION: Hello, do you know when a Wolf Hybrid will go into heat again if she is 80% Wolf, 20% Husky and gave birth early March?

ANSWER: Breed doesn't matter all canine females will go into heat between 6 - 9 months.

What is her cycle schedule? How often does she go into heat? If she whelped a litter in March, plus two months carrying, she would be ready to come into heat in end of May beginning of June, assuming she comes in, every 6 months.

QUESTION: I just rescued her, I have no idea what her heat cycle is. How long will she be in heat for?

Answer
She will be in heat for 21 - 30 days.

If she's been bred before, it's important to keep her confined because she WILL go looking to get bred again.

Also as a rescue, do her a kindness, and have her spayed either before she comes into heat, or after she's done.
