Question
hi sorry to be a pain
i have another question for you
my mal had 6 puppies last thursday night
just the past couple of days her feeding
has changed
all she wants to eat and all she does eat are these
chicken tender strips
they contain
crude protein 34%
crude fat 10.8%
crude fibre 3.4%
salt 2.7%
omega 3  0.3%
omega 6   2.2%
calcium  1.0%
she refuses to eat anything else
i have tried her on just about everything
i can think of
she just wont eat anything else
can you suggest something or what she is
having is ok and to keep giving them
to her???
she has a little cold meats here and there
like ham and chicken
she wont eat any dry dog food like she was
doing when she was pregnant
the puppies are putting on weight
and she has alot of energy
she leaves the puppies about every 3 hours
and goes the toilet, walk and drinks
then she goes back to the puppies
is this all ok???
she is probably away from them for about 10 minutes
everything seems to be going along ok
but iam just a little worried about what she is eating
is there something i can cook for her???
sorry to be a pain
but its our first and last time
we breed so family members could take the puppies
not to sell
just everyone loves our to beautiful mals
thanks so much
for answering my questions

Answer
That's not enough to sustain herself and her pups. Take the chicken away completely until she eats her kibble.  Even canned dog food would better.

Try cooking up beef heart, kidney and liver in a broth.  Pour that over her kibble giving her lots of chunks of meat.  She can have this 3 times a week.  I can't stress enough the importance of a healthy diet for a lactating female.  "Spoiling" the females by enticing them to eat with a treat like the chicken strips is never a good idea.

Remember she's always eating everything the pups eliminate.
