bleeding after free whelping

Boston Terrier; first litter.  She's bleeding, red to dark red; not continuously.  Body feels feverish, but temp. runs 100 to 101.  Normal?  Cause for concern?  How long is bleeding to last?

Hi Geri. The temp is normal. Take it everyday for at least a week just to make sure she doesn't come down with an infection. The bleeding is also normal. It usually lasts around 2 weeks or so. Don't worry, the bleeding will taper off after a while. Good luck!
