HEAT CYCLE HELP

QUESTION: hello, my female american bulldog has reached her first cycle, i do not want to breed as of yet. nonetheless, my male doesnt feel the same as me. cries, barks, doesnt want to eat,drink or sleep. he's in the garage, she's in a bathroom. is there anything i can do to distract him away?!?!? we can't sleep at nite!! i've also tried having him outside, doesnt work. PLEASE HELP!

Do you have a friend across the city who could keep him? LOL  That would be the best and only cure.

Yup, sure have a friend across town that can keep him. my friends name is the POUND/ASPCA! lol

Any idea on when will it stop for him? at the end of her cycle? longer? sooner?

Cant take seeing my son like this!

Our males can drop 10-20 lbs in days when a female comes in.  And there is lots of crying.

The thing to remember is that your female may be fertile for up to
21 days.... so it's at least a month before they can be reintroduced.

Things will get back to normal when your female comes out of heat.
