First heat after C-section

Hello,
We bred our 2 1/2 yr old golden and she had a C-section.  She is now supposed to be in her first heat since.  She has always been very regular.  She started swelling 2 weeks ago, got very large but no bleeding or discharge of any kind and now seems to be shrinking.  Is this normal after a C section or should I be concerned.  She feels/acts fine.  I have cut back her food trying to lose those puppy pounds but haven't been very successful.  Thank you for any advice.

A section is very invasive and can change the cycle. It sounds more like she may be in a pre heat or split heat.

Where she starts to swell then a few weeks later goes into full blown heat.

The best way for her to loss puppy pounds is good old fashion exercise. Running, chasing the ball or swimming will help get her figure back quicker than dieting.
