Question
My female jack russell terrier just had her second and LAST litter and this morning had tremors so I ran her to vet after bllod test confirmed she had calcium deficiency I bought puppy milk and bottles will she ever be able to nurse again or must they keep on with the bottles? They are 13 days old now.

Answer
Hi Patti

What are you feeding her?  Calcium deficiency is typically found in animals feed high organs and meat content.  A balanced diet will correct the problem.

You always want to start a supplement on the pups as they will have been denied calcium in utero leading to bone and health issues later in life.
