Hello Renee, we have new pom puppies from sophie our 2 1/2 year old, I really don't remember how her mother acted when she was born but this is Sophies first litter and and in almost 3 days she has only got out of the box one time to go potty is this normal?

Hi Harry! It's probably completely normal for your girl. Some new moms are super protective of their babies. This will most likely pass as the pups get older. You really need to force mom to go potty though. Even if you have to drag her out. Force her out a few times during the day. If she doesn't go, it can cause a bladder/kidney infection. Congrats on the new litter!:-)
