Prego Basset

I am fostering a basset that was turned over 3 weeks ago.  Owner said "she's probably pregnant."  She's 5 yrs old.  Dr did an xray on March 17, spines were visible.  He said give her 10 - 14 more days.  Now we are waiting.  Her belly is dragging on the ground and she is miserable, the little pups are moving all over the place and she growls at them - haha! She's eating every chance she gets and her temp is 99.1 - 100.1 up and down for the last week.  It's like watching paint dry.  How long before I should seriously worry?

Hi! If the vet said wait 10-14 more days, that time limit was up Monday. I'd be calling the vet for another check up just to make sure that everything's ok. She may go into labor tomorrow, but I'd still have her checked out just to be safe. It's hard when you don't know exactly when the dog was bred. Poor girl. Good luck watching the paint dry!:-) This is the hardest part, waiting.
