Question
I have a pit bull that passed a thick clear mucus on my bed should I be worried about it and what is it should i be expaecting the puppies soon?  The reason why I ask is because she is deaf so she will not hear the puppies so i wnat to be there to help her out.  Thank you fou your time.

Answer
Hi Brandy. If the mucus is clear, then it's probably her mucus plug and nothing to worry about. Usually a dog will go into labor 24-48 hours after loosing it. If the discharge was colored, green/black/brown/bloody, then get her to the vet. I would stay close to her now, just in case. It may be another day or two, but you never know. Good luck.
