UNWANTED LITTER

My rat terrier went into heat before we realized it; but she got out of our house by accident and now has been bread by 2 big dogs. Is there any way to keep her from having this litter? I'm afraid they would be too big of puppies for her and also she has had 3 litters in a row and she needs a break before having any more litters. She had a hard time the last time with only 4 puppies.
Also she has been coming in heat every 4 1/2 - 5 mos.

My best advice here would be to have her spayed. If she was bred only 24 hours ago, then you could give her the mismate shot. If it's been a lot longer than that, then having her spayed is the best solution. You may want to talk to your vet and see if he can give you anymore options, but I think this is it. Good luck.
