nipples on my yorkie

hi i rescued a 12month old yorkie 3 months a go,now when we got her she had massive nipples,not saggy,very swallon below too but no discharge at all.........but i looked at her yesterday a nd she had a clear discharge out of her nipples?????? what is this all about,she has not been near a male in all the time i have had her???????

Answer
She could have been bred before you got her and now suffers from mastitis.  This is an infection in one or more of the mammary glands.

Try placing her in a the bath with warm water.  Massage her teats until any discharge comes out.  This is a good time to feel for hot spots and lumps.  

She may require antibiotics to help treat this, as it is extremely painful for the female.
