Question
If it is true that a dog can be fertile from day 9 after bleeding has begun to up to two weeks after bleeding has slowed and turned light color when should you breed this female to be sure of a litter. If you breed her on day 11 then could that be to early if her estrus cycle goes until two weeks later?

Answer
No. A dog is only fertile at a small amount of time during the heat cycle. The best thing to look for is when she will accept the male, the male is very interested, and when her bleeding lightens in color, and slows down. You only have a small window of oppertunity to breed. Some girls ovulate early in her cycle, some later in the cycle. It just depends on the dog. Most breeders try to breed their dog on days 11 and 13, or days 12 and 14. if I can be of anymore help, let me know!
