QuestionI have 8 wonderful pit bull puppies and they are 2 weeks old and I want to know how old do the puppies have to be before I can put them the parvo shot and the rabies vaccination?
AnswerHi Olga
Vaccinations don't actually take into effect until around 8 weeks. So that's the perfect time. They get all their immunities from their mother milk before that time.
That being said you have to protect the pups. Have visitors disinfect, don't allow people who were at the pound and other breeders to come to your yard and keep them away from dog parks and other dogs until they are totally vaccinated.
