Hi
I was told not to have my French bulldog spayed during her c-section, the vet said this would prevent her milk from coming? Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi Val. I have only known of one case where a dog didn't get her milk in after having an emergency c-setion, but the vet couldn't say for sure if it was the cause or not. He didn't think so. The hormones that cause the milk to come in are still there weither she whelps naturally, or has a c-section. Many of my breeder friends have had their dogs spayed after a section, with no problem with the milk supply. Good luck!
