my female is 9mo.I don't want to breed until she is 2 years old; however she gave a sign of coming into heat for like 2weeks,but no bleeding..could this of been a flase heat or her frist heat? I need to know her cycle due to I have the male...and will need to sep.them. I stud out my male..so he is active with two other female twice ayear and is vet. check once a year.

Hi Donna.  Some dogs are very neat and clean themselves making it hard to detect the actual bleeding.  If her vulva area swelled then changes are she was in heat.  You can also purchase Estrus strip online that will help you determine if she is in Estrus (the second stage of the heat cycle) or not.
