Question
Wondered if you could tell me at what age the males are ready to breed, and if you breed two reds, will you also get black and tan or only reds? Thank you!!

Answer
Hi Mellissa

The colors are determined by ancestry.  They should be predominately red but if there are blacks and tan on both sides, you will throw those as well.

A male should be over a year prior to breeding, although they produce viable semen as young as 6 to 7 months. It's important to see how the male matures out before using him as a stud.

Good luck
