My Chihuahua is 54 days pregant and her temperature is 99.2 when will she go in to labor and what do I need to look for

Gestation is 63 days from the time her eggs where fertilized, not necessarily for when she was mated.

You should have a whelping box for her lined with old towels and sheets.  She'll start nesting and panting.

Have you done x-rays to confirm the size of the litter? If not I would recommend it to see how many puppies to expect and their placement.  It can make the entire whelping process easier FOR YOU, not necessarily your female, but knowing what to expect.   Also, your vet can determine if your female is large enough to safely pass a pup.
