After Pregnancy

I have a pit named koko who is about a year and amonth.. she just had a litter of 9 puppies on feb. 22nd 2009.   the birth went fine but im not sure she is acting alright. she wont eat and shes very skinny! when i let her out the room she hides under my bed and cries. also when i let her out to use the bathroom from time to time she may crawl under the porch and wait until i let her back in. she cares for the puppies well. im worried and dont know how normal her cries are.

Hi Sabrina.  I'm sorry to write that I have never experiances this type of behavior in any of my new mothers.  I think you should contact your veterinarian and see what they think.
