mini daschund 59 days pregnant

my mini is 59 days pregnant. she was with the male only one time. Tied only once, on December 11th 2008. Her normal temp is 100.1 and now has dropped to 98.0 this morning, last night it was 98.6. She is not showing any nesting behavior, and refuses to get off my lap. I was just wondering if labor is close. I am not planning on leaving the house. She has not yet eating at all today.

Hi Christa. Has she lost her mucus plug yet? The temp will usually drop below 98 when labor is close, though some girls won't drop much at all, so it makes it pretty hard to say for sure with the temp thing. 63 days is the normal prgnancy, though some girls will go a bit earlier some will go longer than that. When she loses her mucus plug, labor should start within 24-48 hours. She may not start the nesting behavior for a few more days yet, then that can last up to 24 hours. She could go at any time, so stay close and good luck!:-)
