my friends husky

my friends husky is 3 years old, and she is at the end of her heat cycle. but she is bleeding alot. she has had one male get ahold of her, but the male dog as got ahold of her, atleast 5 times. we are worried that the male dog has hurt the female in some way.. i jus need to know if it is normal to bleed as much as she is, at this point.

How much is "a lot"???  And what is her typical heat cycle?
She was bred then on purpose?  If she was a maiden there can be some bleeding, but that isn't typical.

It could be a sign of pyometra -- or it could just be her age. To ease your concern, I would have her checked out by your friends vet.
