QuestionI am trying to mate Italian Greyhounds. It seems as though the male may be too tall as he is not able to penetrate and tie with the female? What are the chances the two will successfully breed if left alone? I have watched them all night and he has yet to enter. Is intervention necessary? If so, how would I go about this?
AnswerHi Kirsten
Well anything's possible but if the male is too tall you may have to help out. Frustration is the biggest barrier then one or both will give up.
If you have a sloping driveway, or hill near by that may be your best bet. Otherwise if this is the breeding you want, A.I. or assistance on your part will have to happen.
Good luck
