small breed dogs

I'm used to breeding staff dogs but with all people buying these dogs for the wrong reasons id like to move to smaller dogs. Roughly how many are in a litter of Chihuahuas' and Maltese dogs.

Maltese usually have 2-4 pups in a litter, and Chihuahua's usually have 2-5. This is just on average. A good rule of thumb is to find out how many mom had and how she whelped. This still doesn't mean she'll be just like mom, but it's still a good indication I believe.
