QUESTION: my shish tzu is having pups in 7 days I wanted to know if thibreed is known for having particular compilations? this her first time and her last.I have a friend who has delivered 30 litters ,so she will help me,I don't know many she'll have but they are all taken THANKS YOU

ANSWER: Hi Donna. The only thing that I really know about your breed, is that sometimes their labor can take a really long time. And, sometimes she may need a c-section in case a puppy is too big. Besides that, I really don't know. Good luck!

ANSWER: Congrats on the puppy! It happens more often than people think it does. If a dog was bred that maybe was too young, or a dog that is getting older, it can happen. Sometimes, a perfectly healthy dog, who is at the correct breeding age, will only put out one egg. And, sometimes a female will only have one puppy with her first litter. It's happened to me before, and I have much larger dogs than you do. Good luck! :-)

QUESTION: omg the pup is so fat she feeds it constantly, i hope it is OK i was going to keep her and i thought at 6 weeks it get her shots ,is that right?should i try to not let the baby eat so much? thanks Donna

Hi. Let the puppy eat as much as she wants, unless she comes down with  diarrhea. If that happens, you may have to limit how much she eats. take the puppy in when it's 3 weeks old for a check up and to be wormed. The vet will then tell you when he wants her back in for shots. Good luck!
