Pregnant Rat Terrier

My friend has a pregnant rat terrier, she is due next month. She's been trying to find info on how to help and comfort the dog during her pregnancy. Is there any special treatment her dog should recieve during her pregnany? Any website links would also be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Mother Nature has a way of taking care of her own.

Your friend could provide a whelping box and/or area where the female can safely and quietly whelp her litter.

She should get extra vitamins and oils and be on a good quality dog food.  NOT puppy food.  

There are a number of sites available on whelping if you Goggle.  A experienced breeder and discussions with what to expect from her vet might be in order.
