Possible pregnancy (7 mnth american bulldog bitch)

hi there, i recently purchased an american bulldog bitch she is 7 months old and is in very poor condition, i have also just found out that she was mated to an american bulldog boxer cross before i bought her. this would make her only just pregnant, what should i do? to top it all of the past owner wants a pup if she is pregnant

You're kidding me?? It sounds like you have quite a problem on your hands here. If you have no plans what so ever of breeding her, have her spayed. You said she's in poor condition, and only 7 months old. She could run into a lot of problems whelping these puppies, maybe even loosing her own life. She's not done growing herself yet, so it's going to be really hard on her body to try to meet the demands of growing, much less producing puppies and milk. A 7 month old puppy having puppies is kind of like a 10-12 year old girl having a baby. They're not physically or mentally ready for it. My best advice here would be to have her spayed as soon as possible. Unless you know for sure that she was only bred 24 hours ago. Then you could have the mismate shot given to her. In her poor condition however, I wouldn't recommend it anyway. Talk to your vet, and see if he has any other options available to you. My first concern would be for her to not have those puppies.
