deworming

ok my dog attacked and killed a rabbit i think she now has tape worm the other problem is she is pregnant can i dewrm her or what will the pups die inside her because of the tape worm or will the pups die if i deworm her

Hi Justin.  It is not uncommon for pregnant dogs to have worms and or other parasites such as giardia and or coccidia, and in most cases pass them on to their unborn puppies.

It is best to wait and de-worm the mother after after the puppies are weaned, and then de-worm the puppies at 6 weeks of age.
