my lhasa apso bitch is 6 months old and is just finishing her first season and i have kept her away from her dad and the worse happened but she pulled away from him it would have only been about 5 mins i realised they were missing i feel awful cos i went to get her done and she came on heat so the vet said i would have to wait till she was finished she is so young to have pups could she have them without any problems please help im so worried

Hi. 6 months is awfully young to have puppies. You'll want to work closely with your vet during her pregnancy and whelping for any special needs that she may have. It's really hard to say for sure if she will whelp these pups with no problem, it's hard to say for any dog really. You can have x-rays done after day 50 to see about how many there are and if there are any that may cause trouble during whelping. At first sign of labor, you'll want to call your vet to let him know just in case you need him. I'm going to give you a web site with a ton of good information. One thing you may want to consider is that you can have her spayed after her heat cycle. Most vets will spay a pregnant dog if done pretty early. Just a thought.
