Question
I have a female boxer i thought was in heat...but she has been spot bleeding for about a week and half now. One day she bleeds then skips two days so I think its time to breed her then the next day she is bleeding again. She is very swollen and moves her tail like shes ready.

Answer
The bleeding doesn't have to stop to breed her. It normally lightens in color. If she's flagging and standing, then she's telling you she's ready. Check her vulva. When she's ready to be bred, it will still be swollen, but it will also be softer. It'll kind of feel like your lip. If you truly want to breed her, you need to do it before it gets too late! :-)
