Hi Renee, sorry to keep asking you questions. Went to the vet tonight so the vet could palpate her abdomen. She is 39days from her first mating and he said it was highly unlikely she was pregnant as he couldn,t feel anything. I thought you only had a short time to palpate as after 35 days gestation amniotic fluid would surround the puppy. Could he still be wrong. Feeling very disappointed today. Thanks Janice. p.s also has never had french bulldogs in his practice

Hi Janice. No problem at all! I wouldn't go by that. You are correct in that by time time, the pups are surrounded by fluid, and super difficult to feel. I would wait until she's about 50 days pregnant, and do an x-ray. Good luck, and if I can help with anything else, just holler!
