These two wonderful Labs have been with each other for two years, in a large pen. Question: Should I bring her in the house? She is about six weeks along. Is it possible to leave her out there? If I do, should I remove him from the pen? This is my first time and hers.

I assume that she is pregnant.  

I firmly believe that pups should be born indoors.  The female needs a safe place to whelp, preferably in a whelping box.  Because pups are born deaf, blind and can't regulated their temperature, they need to be kept warm and dry. Pups are very active, and females have been known to squish their pups, so "bumper pads" are a must.

A female needs quiet time with her pups and the male should not be introduced to them until they are at least 4 weeks old.
