Question
i have a 3 year old female gsd and a 2 year old male they have locked up 3 times while bleeding is that normal to lock up like that and is that a good chance she will produce a litter

Answer
a female will only allow a male to munt them when they are accepting and fertile. with three ties you can assume she got pregnant. look for a green or yellow discharge in the next week or so, if you notice this take her to vet to get antibiotics or she could abort the litter. this is from a male dog carrying an infection that he shows no signs of. at 28 days the vet can palpatate her belly to feel for pups or detect pups on ultrasound around day 35. i highly suggest a xray around day 50 to day 54 to see how many pups she is carrying so you know when she is done whelping puppies. feel free to ask any other questions and i hope thus helps.
