Hello! My Brittany is 9 months old. I assume she is in heat because she is spotting and acting different. She has been spotting for about 1.5 weeks now. Is this normal? Also today we noticed she has some swelling. Not sure if this is normal or not??? Should we bring her to the vet or do you think she is cycling normal?

All common. It's starts with spotting, swelling and THEN she'll be ready to breed. At 9 months old, this is the time you want to keep her locked in the ivory tower.

A season will last about 21 days, so you're not through the woods yet. No reason for a vet visit.
