My female pitbull

My female pitbull has been up all night panting and scratching like shes itchy she has no fleas she is pregnant and due any day now she was up and down all night and scratching in her bed and she will not let the male dog around me but doesn't mind him being around her what could this mean

It's time to separate the two and get your female in a whelping box.

What she's doing is nesting.  Looking for a place to deliver her pups.  A box lined with newspaper or old towels and sheets placed in a room where she can quietly whelp her litter is what she needs now.
