Question
i have a 6 weeks old male golden lab.
i brought him home 3 days back, although he has settled down quite a bit but he seems hungry all the time.i feed him 4 times a day.his food includes boiled mince and rice, milk and bread with little sugar.this is what his breeder was feeding him and asked me to do the same.
my question is how much should i feed him daily? (apparently 4 times a day doesn't make it)

Answer
Hi Alina

A puppy only needs to eat twice a day if it's fed the right food.

Dog's are carnivores so they need more meat and less carbs.  If you are giving the hamburger, you can give it raw.  He should be getting about 2 lbs.  1 in the morning feeding, and one in the evening.  Instead of sugar, bread and milk (dogs have a hard time digesting milk) add vegetables, rice is a good filler.

With a raw diet remember to include supplements like vitamins and fish oil to help round out his diet.

Good luck
