I have a shih tzu that has given birth to her fist litter she had her 1st pup 16hrs ago and had another two over the next hour (the 3rd pup being a still born) then given birth to the last pup approx 14hrs ago three pups all healthy and feeding well and mum seemed well till about an hour ago - then she started having contractions again and puffing quite bad, is this normal what shall I do? thank you.

Did she pass the placenta's and after birth?  You can't miss the afterbirth as it's a big red mess.  She is either passing that, or another pup.  

Typically 2 hours is the time line between pups with the after birth coming a few hours later.
