normal dog birth after c section

Question
My chihuahua had a c section to give birth to her puppies about a month and a half ago. She pushed one out vaginally, then three hours later didnt push anymore out. So I got her a c section for the other two. I think she may already be pregnant again. Will her uteris rupture if she has a home birth this time because it's so soon?
The c section is just way too expensive so im hoping she will be able to deliver normally this time. Please let me know.
Thanks!
Abby

Answer
Hi Abby

First off Yikes! After a section it's advisable to wait at least a year for the uterine wall and the incision to heal enough to support another litter.  Which by very good chance, will have to be performed by section again.

The risk is that a pup will adhere to the scar tissue and can not be whelped naturally.

Second.  Are you sure that the male isn't just confused? Blood attracts the male and makes him think that a female is in heat. It seems too soon for your female to come into heat.  It is typically 6 months between heats. Unless your female has a thyroid condition and then it shouldn't be bred anyway.

Do your female a favor and keep her as far away from your male as possible, any thing less can be fatal for both the dam and her litter.
