Question
"i am having a nice 9 weeks old girl, her parents are pure bred and they
are mine ,when she was 4 months i recognized that her ear are weak but
i found that the permanent teeth are growing so i forgot the problem,
but with gaining age i can see her brother with perfect ear style and
totally erected and hers are one erected weakly with tremor and other
may erect for a second and then stay down,i tried to do a bandage tie i
learned in college (vet student) by putting a foam roll inside ears and
tie them up,but i may stretched this bandage     roughly ,also her
brother spent all time biting her ear
after two days i fond her very uncomfort and tilting her head so i
removed the bandage yesterday to find that her ears are totally fallen and
swollen they were flappy and painful, now i am giving her NSAI to stop
inflammation and antibiotic spray but i think she had severe injury as
this ear is now totally fallen as there is no cartilage
may it be well again or it entered in necrotic and ischeamic changes
>please help my lovable girl"

Answer
Hi. I've seen people really hurt Boxers ears while trying to get them to stand. Not on purpose however. There were very few cases where the damage was permanent, or requiring the ear to be completely amputated. I would continue to do as you're doing. If you haven't already, I'd take her in to your vet. If you have already done this, then I would find a breeder close by you that either breeds gsd, or another breed that requires taping and such. They'll be better able to tell you what they think is going on with her ear, as they can actually see what the ear looks and feels like. This is my best advice for you. Don't get too stressed out over this yet. It may just take time to heal properly.
