Pups cry while nursing

Question
Hi there, thanks for this forum for me to ask questions on my new litter. The litter of 6 is 6 days old. Over the weekend,I noticed that they creid alot during the nursing process.
I am currently feeding Development Formula from the vet. I am cooking beef liver and adding it to the formula.
In case there was a problem milk production, I purchased a milk replacement supplement for pups. If I were to feed this to the pups, would they get diarrhoea?
What can I do to support the healt of mom, and save my litter from potential starvation?

thanks,
Mardy

Answer
Hi Mardy

It sounds like they are getting more air and not enough nutrients. I would rotate the litter, give the female three at a time and let them fill up naturally and supplement if necessary.  Are you using a feeding tube?

The milk replacement may cause loose stool, then you have to worry about dehydration.

Up your females food and include canned food to encourage her to eat. This will help with her milk.
