pug pregnat

The lady down my street has several dogs three pugs and a pit. She asked me to look after her oldest pug. Problem is no one has heard from her in over a month. I did call animal control on the ones in the home. Thumper the pug at my home is now very very pregnat. I now dogs carry 62days give are take. Ive had her since Nov 15th. Which i believe she was in heat. I'm think she got pregnat right before i got her. If thats so she should give birth near Jan 16th. My kids love im stuck with surrendering her with the other dogs are taking the chance of paying for c-section just to have owner come back to take her. But what is the chances of her picking  a large mate are the smaller one thats her size?

Dogs don't discriminate when it comes to breeding. The chances are very good that she would pick a large male AND a couple small ones all at the same time.  

Pugs are a breed that have been known to have complications in whelp.  So it would be a very good idea to have the x-rays and discuss with your vet the plans of a section.
