Teats after pregnancy?

I have a 2yr old lurcher bitch who had her first (accidental and only!!) litter of 13 (!) 5 weeks ago, her teats have gone down a little but hang now and she refuses to feed the pups which is fine as they are eating everything I own now so she clearly doesn't need to. but I was just wondering will they return to normal? she loves to run and they swing so much i worry that it must be painful for her.

Hi Tess. They'll probably not ever look completely like they did before she had pups. They will most likely alwayas be a bit bigger than before, and may be a little saggy. They will get better as time goes by though. It'll take them a while. They should get better so that she at least can run again, but will most likely not ever look like they did before. 13 pups! Wow. You guys did a great job.:-)
