Question
QUESTION: Hi!Ms.Allen,
I have a female pom that just had a litter of puppies three weeks ago, I don't want to breed her again until next spring, my question to is how often do I need to change the diapers since it does not say on the package.

         Sincerely,
         Rosa

ANSWER: Hi Rosa:

I'm not sure I understand your question completely. Do you mean once she's in her next heat cycle you plan to use the diapers mentioned to control the vaginal discharge or as a deterrent for breeding? If you could provide a little more information I'd be happy to try to help as best I can. Thanks!

QUESTION: Hi!Ms.Allen, I am sorry to bother you again, but I would like to know, would it be safe for me to give my adult female nursing pom(Dream Coat)in her food and will it have any affect on her puppies through her milk?

         Sincerely,
         Rosa

Answer
Hi Rosa:

No bother & please feel free to call me Denise. After all, we're discussing our dog's heat cycles & such so we shouldn't stand on ceremony!

Yes, Dream Coat is perfectly safe to use on pregnant, lactating & nursing dogs, even puppies & kittens; in fact, I believe the label directions even recommend doubling the usual dosage for these circumstances. It contains no ingredients that could harm the puppies in any way and in fact, they could probably benefit from it. If you'd like to read for yourself, I'm including the following link for your review. Best of luck to you!
