poodle terrier mix

I have a poodle terrier mix that is 10 months old. I want my male poodle mix to mate with my mini schnauzer. What is the recommended breeding age for a female schnauzer? She's 5 months old. Also will the pups come out like schnauzer or poodle mix?

Hi Debbie. I would wait until she was at least 2 years of age before breeding. When you breed a female too young, you're asking for problems. She needs time to finish growing herself before having puppies. As for what they'lll come out looking like, that's up to the dogs. No one can really say for sure. It's up to their genes. When you breed two different breeds of dogs, you don't know what you'll come out with.
