Pregnant diet

Hello,

I will be breeding my blue nose female pitbull in about a week and am wondering if I should put her on any special diet. We only feed her dry food now. If I do have to put her on a special diet; what should I feed her, how often and portion sizes too please.

Hi. As long as you have her on a good quality adult dog food, then she shouldn't need anything else. If she gets picky later on as some girls do, you can then try to add soft dog food to her diet. This will usually get them to eat. You shouldn't have to up her food right after breeding, usually at about a month after breeding will she need to be fed more, unless she's asking for more. Make sure she gets plenty of exercise, and don't let her get too fat. This is all you can do.:-) Good luck!
