can dogs still hump after being fixed?

can dogs still mate after they were fixed?  because my boy dog keeps trying to mount the female  dog but she will not let him..

Hi Toni. How old was your dog when you had him neutered? If you neuter a dog after he's already reached sexual maturity, then it won't usually help that behavior. They can still try, but they won't be fertile. Dogs also mount other dogs in a show of dominance. It has nothing to do with sex.
