young pregnant bitch

Hi, i really hope you can help me with this, we have to
westies, boy and girl non related, the girl is 15 months old
and the boy is 14 months. they have mated and she is now
about 47 ays pregnant, my worry is, is she too young to be
pregnant and will it cause problems? this was a mistake
mating, they were kept apart most of the time but alas it
happened anyways.

15 months is pretty young but there shouldnt be too many problems. at 50 days take her to vet for xray where they can tell you how many pups and if they are too big for her to deliver. i suggest at  57 days to start taking her temp. her normal temp should be between 100-102. when her temp drops between 97.9-98.6 wait 2hr and take it again, if its still in that range be prepared for labor within 24hr. make sure you have thermometer far enough in. i really hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
