Questionmy little girl puppy is 7 months old. She has gone into heat for the first time.
How old should she be before I breed her for the first time. I plan to have her
fixed afterward. I do not want to put her thou it more than once.
She is cahihuahua. She is a great dog, friendly. But head strong too.
AnswerHi Barbara:
Any dog should be a minimum of 18 months & preferably 2 years of age before breeding. You should also think very carefully about why you want to breed. There are many risks & unanticipated problems associated with breeding. I'm including a few links for your review.
