male dog wont mount female

Question
I have two pure bread AKC registered black labs we bought them knowing we were going to breed them we have already found over 25 people who want one of their pups, all of whom have had their homes inspected.  They are relatively the same age just over two years she has had 3 previous heats.  She is in heat now. theres no more bleeding now its clear and she seems ready. but he seems not at all sure what to do. he mounts her then jumps off almost imediately. is he just not ready yet or is there a way to help him figure it out?

With inexperience males sometimes you have to assist.

Try holding the female you will need to have her on a short leash so she doesn't jump around.  Bring the male around to the business end and encourage him to mount her.

What day in her heat is she?  She may be early yet.
