whelping problem

My Chihuahua has a small amount of a puppy's face showing. Her contractions aren't strong enough to push pup out. I can't get my fingers in to try to pull the pup. I have oxytocin, but not sure if I should use it or, how much to use. Should I just call the Vet? She is 4 lb.

You can' wait when a pup is stuck in the birth canal. Because it has already detached from the uterine wall, it's survival depends on getting out ASAP.

A small dose of oxy, .25 cc will help with the contraction. You can also use a cloth to help grip the pup to pull it out.
