pregnant german shepherd

hi my white german shepherd bitch is now 66 days pregnant, she tied on her 18th day for 15 mins. problem is last week and 3 weeks ago we lost her two beloved friends both german shepherds who she was with for 5 years, now dont know if this what is causing the problem. at 66 days she went into slight labour tempature was down to 98.4 then she stopped, now at 66 days you can feel her belly very very hard, shes back eating vulva is swollen at the back but no signs of labour starting!! help 1) has she lost the pups along the way? 2) could she still have a false pregnancy while being bred and tied? please help many thanks jan.ps she has hardly no milk and she really licks her boobies hard as if she cant understand y she has no milk.

She really needs to be taken to the vet. He can do an x-ray to see if there are any puppies. About the milk, some dogs won't produce milk until they deliver. To answer your questions. 1. Usually a dog will have a discharge when they loose a puppy. Unless a puppy died and she simply reabsorbed it. This is especially why I'd like her to get to the vet. Just in case. 2. Yes, a dog can still go through a false pregnancy even though she was bred and tied. I think your best bet would be to have the x-ray done. This will tell you for sure if she is or isn't. Good luck!
